Our customized cosmetology program teaches students numerous cosmetology techniques as well as business and marketing strategies of the beauty industry. We offer a hands-on cosmetology education that includes classroom demonstrations, activities, and experience working on real clients in the student salon. Our flexible program is available to full-time students as well as part-time students, which means you can pursue your dream beauty education right away!
One of the most exciting aspects of this program is when the students get to interact and work with actual clients in our student salon, which is designed to look and function just like a professional salon. This gives students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in their classes and work with high-end beauty products.
We partner with leaders in the beauty industry, including:
To become a licensed cosmetologist in Kansas, you must pass the Kansas State Board Exam of Cosmetology, and other states have similar state board exams. Part of the requirements to get the license is to have completed 1,500 hours of cosmetology training from a qualifying beauty school, such as Crave Beauty Academy. We help full-time and part-time students reach this training requirement and prepare to sit for the state exam through our cosmetology program.
A cosmetologist can do a lot of different services, and that’s why we train each student in many aspects of the beauty industry. Cosmetologists can work in a professional salon, performing all types of hair services for clients. They might concentrate on specific beauty services, such as nail technology. They could provide skincare services, such as facials. They could also do makeup for clients. A licensed cosmetologist could become a model stylist or work for a fashion magazine. They could become a salon owner or a professional style consultant. Your cosmetology education could lead you toward so many exciting career paths!
Our cosmetology program is specially designed to give each student hands-on experience with professional cosmetology techniques. You will be working with tools and products that you can find in a professional salon environment. The best preparation comes in our student salon, where real clients from the community schedule our services. Students perform these services under the direct supervision of licensed professionals.
Also, we prepare each student for the business aspect of a professional beauty career. Students can learn marketing techniques, business strategies, and more, so they can be better prepared to succeed in a beauty industry career.
