Meet our talented Crave Beauty Academy Team… Excellence in Education

The Crave Beauty Academy team strives to stay abreast of the most current industry trends. Our team consists of some of the finest educators, guest service personnel, and directors. We have been recognized as leaders in the professional industry and our local communities. We have been honored with some of the most elite awards in Excellence in Education, Best in Business, Emerging Leaders and rated the Winner and Favorited in local community awards.

Wichita Campus

Stacey Peters, Senior Director

Stacey is from Laramie, WY but has also lived in South Dakota, Nebraska, and now she currently lives in Kansas. She is also a licensed Cosmetologist in all four states. Stacey graduated from a Cosmetology school in Wyoming with her associates degree. She then proceeded with her education degree at Xenon International Academy in 2004 for the Educators Program. Stacey has previous experience as a Salon Manger and Stylist, and she was an Educator for Matrix. One of Stacey’s main passions is education. Stacey’s mentors are Geno Stampora and Dog Cox. She had the privilege to work one on one with them. Stacey states that they are very motivated and strive for a better professional image of our industry. Stacey’s greatest accomplishment is being the youngest Matrix Educator hired in the Mid-West at the age of 21. Stacey is the Senior Campus Director at Crave Beauty Academy, and just celebrated her 15th year with the school, Nov of 2017. She has pursued her career in the Beauty Industry through Education. She has found that her passion is working with others and watching students grow and achieve success in the industry.


Hollie Holtzinger, Executive Administrative Assistant

Hollie graduated from Crave in April of 2015 as a Licensed Cosmetologist.  Shortly after graduating, she accepted a position as a Designer at Ulta Beauty where she did hair and makeup services.  After some time, she decided to join the Crave team in early 2018.  She is currently the Executive Administrative Assistant.  She enjoys being back in the school atmosphere where she gets to meet so many new people, all of which have a unique story.  She has always had a love for the beauty industry and a passion for helping people feel beautiful.  Now she is able to see the students’ successes and the joy this industry brings them as well.

 

 

 


Sherri Westney, Director of Student Financial Services

Sherri has been a part of the beauty industry family since 2003. After making the decision to sell her family’s business, she chose to enter into a new career for herself…cosmetology. Sherri earned her cosmetology training at Xenon Int’l Academy. Immediately after becoming licensed, she continued her education and became a licensed cosmetology instructor/educator. She then spent the majority of her time in the classroom working with and educating the cosmetologists of the future. Sherri has been doing financial aid at the academy for several years and is now in the corporate office processing students’ financial aid for both the Wichita, KS and Ballwin, MO campuses for Crave Beauty Academy.


May Elliott, Associate Director

May attended school at Sidney Hairdressing College in 1985 where she obtained her Cosmetology License. At that time, Sidney’s Hairdressing College was the only Pivot Point School in the area. In 1987, May opened her salon in Kingman, KS. She owned her salon for 20 years. A couple years after May opened her salon, she began to work for The Paul Mitchell Education Team. She worked and traveled with some of today’s greatest stylist such as Robert Cromeans and Scott Cole. She stayed on The Paul Mitchell Education Team for 18 years. When she was introduced to Xenon International Academy, she was thrilled that Xenon was a Pivot Point school, since Pivot Point is what she learned from. May is one of our Color Educators at Crave Beauty Academy, she also teaches American Crew and Nails. May celebrated her ten year anniversary with Crave in August 2015. She is very passionate about Education and the Beauty Industry and loves to share her passion and knowledge with students.


Jessy Orth, Associate Director

Jessica followed in her mother’s footsteps when she earned her cosmetology license and began working behind the chair in August 2005. She quickly discovered a desire to share her knowledge with aspiring stylists and became an educator at Xenon International Academy in Wichita, KS in 2007. Jessica grew into a well-known and respected teacher at Crave and currently leads the school’s sculpture, male specific styling, and makeup artist programs. She was inspired to become an American Crew educator after she attended Menswork™ Academy in 2011. Jessica was recognized for her work as a local educator and American Crew TeamCrew member in Wichita Business Journal’s “People on the Move” column that same year. Jessica worked her way through the educator advancement program and became a Master Educator. Jessica recently took on the role of assisting the owner and the director in managing students and staff. In addition to working at Crave, Jessica currently serves as a stylist and makeup artist specializing in beauty, bridal, editorial and special effects.


Morgan Lampson-Waugh, Talent Development Manager

Morgan began her career in the beauty industry at Xenon Int’l Academy in 2011, where she was highly involved in community events and represented the academy as President of Student Ambassadors. Morgan has been with Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy since 2012. Her love of education within the industry has pushed her to become certified in American Crew Menswork, Nuts and Bolts business techniques, Babe Hair Extensions, and in 2014 she became a Licensed Cosmetology Educator. With a background in art and design, Morgan has a creative mind that allows her to run with her creativity when it comes to color and cutting designs. In addition to spending time with our Future Professionals inside the classroom and in our Student Salon, Morgan also assists in marketing and Social Media.  She also travels to our St. Louis campus once a month to work with our team for additional training.

 


Destiny Lanham,  Admissions Advisor

Destiny is a Wichita native and a Xenon International Academy graduate from 2009. When she received her cosmetology license she started working at a salon for two years. Following that she continued working in the industry and worked five years at Sports Clips. She has found her passion and knows it will always be in the beauty industry. Destiny enjoys working in the school atmosphere and being back in the Crave environment.

 

 

 

 


Ashlee Littlejohn, Admissions Advisor

Ashlee graduated from Cosmetology school in 2007, and worked professionally for 6 years in the salon specializing in high textured hair and formal styling.  While working in the salon, Ashlee decided to venture out into the makeup world working for companies such as MAC, Chanel, and Bobbi Brown.  Ashlee is also a certified Lash Artist and enjoys teaching our students the in’s and out’s of makeup artistry.  She enjoys working with Future Professionals and guiding them from the moment they step foot in our doors until they complete their program!

 

 

 


Meghan Hoffman, Lead Esthetics Educator

Meghan graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2013 as a licensed Esthetician. She worked at Salon Centric after graduation. After realizing her true calling she came back to Xenon/Crave for her instructor training. Meghan is a Dermalogica Expert certified in Bio Active Peel, Ion Active System, and Advanced Waxing. She is continually pursuing her own education so she can keep up with industry trends, as well as bring new techniques and information back to students. Meghan’s passion for the beauty industry comes from wanting to help people achieve their best skin yet. She loves that as an esthetician and an educator, no day is ever the same and she also loves the “ah ha” moment that students have when they are in the program.

 

 

 


Jeanne Wendland, Esthetics & Nail Technology Educator

Jeanne is a native Texan and after 26 years working in the same job, she was struck with finding a new career path. With a mother and three sisters in the field of beauty it made sense to do something in the field of cosmetology. In the Fall of 2015, Jeanne completed the Nail Technology program at Crave Beauty Academy. Once she graduated, she immediately began the Esthetics program. In the Spring of 2017 she completed the Instructor program and officially became a member of the Crave family. She finds joy in what she does and continues to work in a salon as well as being an Educator.

 

 

 


Scarlett Davis, Master Educator

Since high school, Scarlett has always been apart of the theatre world. So after graduation, she continued on to Cowley Community College on a full ride theatre scholarship. After a year of doing hair and makeup backstage, she wanted to work more with the people. So the next year she decided to continue her passion for hair and makeup and start at Cowley Pivot Point Academy. Scarlett graduated in May of 2011 and jumped right in shears a blazing! Not only was she doing hair, she was also continuing her love for beauty and special effects makeup working independently for weddings, haunted houses and of course the theatre. After working a few years behind the chair, she specialized in the art of nails, learning more on acrylics, nail art, and electric filing. Scarlett had been in the field for five years, but wanted to do more than just be behind the chair, she wanted to share her passion with others. So, in 2015 she started and graduated from the educators program at Crave Beauty Academy where she now is teaching all the design classes, state law, advanced airbrush makeup, nails I and II, acrylics, and is one of the nail technology educators. She loves her Crave family, and sharing all she knows with our students!


Jessica Easterwood, Educator

Jessica Easterwood graduated Suma cum Laude from Seward County Community College Cosmetology School in 2012. While she loves all aspects of the beauty industry, her favorites are color, formal hair styling and designs, hair extensions, and nails. Jessica moved to Wichita from her home town of Rolla, Kansas in late 2015 where she continued to work behind the chair until joining the Crave team in August 2016. In addition to her work at Crave, Jessica freelances as a stylist and makeup artist for pageants, bridal parties, photographers and formal events. She has a deep passion for education and assisting students to reach their professional goals.

Melissa Pasley, Lead Guest Service Manager / Educator

Melissa graduated from Xenon International Academy as a licensed cosmetologist in 2013 and was valedictorian of her class. During her time as a stylist Melissa certified in Eyelash Extensions and American Crew Menswork, as well as obtained her license in the state of Colorado. After spending two years behind the chair, Melissa decided to become a part of the Crave team and is currently the Lead Front Desk Coordinator at our Wichita, KS campus.

 

 

 

 


Karlee Glasscock, Guest Service Coordinator/Student Instructor-In-Training

Karlee’s love for making other people feel good about themselves is what originally brought her to become an Industry Professional over 14 years ago.  From a young age, her mom would perm her hair for her and she and her cousins would take turns styling each other’s hair all the time.  Karlee is a Xenon alumni, graduating in 2004.  She loves everything hair related however specializes in cutting and coloring.  She says, “The color wheel is very intriguing to me.  Figuring out what to mix to get the desired level and color my clients are wanting, is true chemistry!”   Even as a student, her true talent in cutting and coloring was noticed, as she took 1st place in a school-wide competition.   As she joins our team 14 years later, she hopes to bring motivation to our Future Professionals as a mentor where she is able to educate & inspire them with a passion for the Beauty Industry, just as she has herself.  Karlee’s goals are to never stop learning in hopes of leaving a mark in the industry and inspire others!

Mary Penrose, Associate Director

Mary, having grown up in an Aveda salon, decided to become a licensed cosmetologist in 2009. As a little girl, she always knew she wanted to be in Education, so in 2011 she became a licensed Cosmetology Instructor. In 2015, Mary became Crave’s Lead Educator, working directly with our students and other Instructors. She introduces future professionals to our world at Crave Beauty Academy, while building strong relationships with those future students.

 

 

 

 


Michelle Pelias, Business Office Administrator

Michelle comes to Crave Beauty Academy with over 13 years of experience in Retail Management.  While Michelle does not hold a license within the beauty industry, she has had her hand in it by managing a large cosmetics department and working closely with several beauty lines since 2013.   It was during that time she fell in love with the industry!  Michelle is enthusiastic in helping others find their passion and apply it.  Her love for all things beauty has brought her to Crave in her role as Business Office Administrator.

 

 

 

 


Lori Scott, Admissions Advisor / Cosmetology Educator

Lori has been in the beauty industry for roughly 20 years, an Educator for over 10 of those years.  She has worked behind the chair, where she offered cutting, color, manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials and more to her guests.  As an educator, she is well rounded in all courses taught to Future Professionals.  She is well experienced in any and all hair types from dark to light, straight to tightly curled.  She joined the Crave team in August of 2017 as our Admissions Advisor where she has the pleasure of meeting Future Professionals and answering any and all questions they may have about the industry and our academy!

 

 

 

 


Alex Nelson, Student Advisor/ Cosmetology Educator

Alex has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 2014 and is an alumni from Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy. She has achieved many certifications such as American Crew, Babe Lash and Hair Extensions, Keratin Complex, Norvell Spray Tanning, and is a certified Hairdresser in 40 different countries! Alex truly enjoys working side by side with our students and brings great energy everyday!

Jacob Baynes, Cosmetology Educator

Jacob, a graduate of Crave, has been licensed since 2016.  He brings a passionate dynamic to our team and to the beauty industry as a whole.  He loves being able to share his knowledge and inspire Future Professionals at Crave Beauty Academy.  Jacob is certified as at Level 1 with OYA Beauty, one of the 2 amazing professional haircoloring lines we carry.  He also practices his craft behind the chair at Cary O’Brien’s Salon & Spa in St. Charles, MO and loves spending time with his son.  Most recently, Jacob has been brought on to the team at Kmac Beauty Supply as Brand Ambassador and Educator.

 

 

 

 


Diana Campana, Cosmetology Educator

Diana has been in the business of Cosmetology since the early 2000’s, and she’s enjoyed every minute of it.   As a result of being a Cosmetologist, she has had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with so many wonderful people who have remained in her life over the years-clients and coworkers alike.  She says, “I love the art of the business and I love people, which is the perfect “marriage” of a career for me.”
Diana is a colorist, hair designer, skin care specialist, makeup artist, and comes with experience in manicuring and pedicuring.  She has worked closely with her clients that have gone through chemo battling cancer, and has also done hair & makeup for the deceased.  Her career took a turning point when she turned 50, which is when she decided to spend less time behind the chair.  Diana, while still being part time behind the chair, made the decision to bring all of her expertise and experience to our team at Crave!  She says, “It is my privilege and honor to impart what I love and have learned over the years to Future Professionals.  I have never had the kind of reward and fulfillment that I get with educating students.  I have a bond and special relationship with each one.  Our students are the future and it is a huge responsibility that I take to heart everyday!”


Amber Harris, Cosmetology Educator

Amber has been a Licensed Cosmetologist since 2008 and a Licensed Educator since 2016.  Some of her specialties include haircutting, coloring, and nail services.  In the time that she has been an Educator, she has taught Nail Technology, Cosmetology, Barbering, and Instructor Training courses.  Knowing that there is always a need for positive, professional stylists is what drew her to a career in education where she is able to share her wealth of knowledge for Future Professionals.

Cherie is a licensed Cosmetologist and an Alumni of Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy. She is certified in Keratin Complex, American Crew, Lash Bomb Eyelash Extensions, Norvell Spray Tanning and Airbrush Makeup. Cherie is passionate about this industry and helping the students become the best they can be!

 

 

 

 

 


Nikki Kelly, Advanced Aesthetics Educator

Nikki graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2013 as a licensed Esthetician. She freelanced as a Professional Makeup Artist in the St. Louis Metro Area and also worked at Life Spa of West County MedSpa after graduation. Her cosmetic and beauty work can be seen in Channel 4s’ Great Day St. Louis television broadcast and local publications such as St. Louis Bridal Magazine. She has successfully demonstrated extremely valuable leadership and collaboration skills, as well as a huge love for her community. After realizing her true calling she came back to Xenon/Crave for her instructor training. Nikki is a PCA Skin Expert certified in SensiPeel, Dermaplaning, Microneedling Collagen Induction Therapy, HydroTherapy, Airbrush Makeup, and Norvell Sunless Tan. Nikki’s currently enrolled in the RN program at St. Louis Community College Meramec Campus. Her mission within the beauty industry is to empower her students in teaching their patients not only look beautiful on the outside, but feel even more beautiful on the inside through the use of advanced aesthetics.


Kim McIntosh, President/Owner

Kim McIntosh serves as President and Executive Director of Crave Beauty Academy.

Currently Kim and her husband, Stan McIntosh, own Crave Beauty Academy. She changed the name of Xenon International Academy to Crave Beauty Academy in Wichita, KS and Ballwin (St. Louis), MO in December 2014. Kim opened Salon Crave in Wichita, KS with her daughter and niece as managing partners in December 2014. Most recently, Kim has opened a professional beauty wholesale, KMac Beauty Supply, to assist local professionals in building their brand.

Kim and her husband acquired Xenon International Academy in Kansas and Missouri in 2013. Prior to the acquisition, the past eighteen years she has been partner in three of the six Xenon International Academy campuses. Her educational background includes college studies in Business Administration and Marketing. Kim has been active in the Beauty Industry for twenty five years. She holds a Cosmetology, Esthetics and Instructors license in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. She has worked behind the chair, in salon management and as a manufacturer educator teaching professionals in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Colorado. Kim currently serves on the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) board for the last thirteen years. Kim has served in various positions on the AACS board to include; Vice-President, Secretary, Historian, co-chair of the Annual AACS Convention, team leader of events and supervised an education task force team. Kim also serves on the MACS -Missouri Association of Cosmetology Schools. Kim is also active in the communities of the Crave locations. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Women’s Business Owners (NAWBO), National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Cricket Alley Ministries and the local toastmasters club in Wichita, Kansas.
