Cosmetology

Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatments that range from simple hair care to more advanced beauty techniques. It’s one of the most popular fields in the beauty industry as it allows you to perform a wide range of services. In our 1500 hour cosmetology program, you can learn:

• Hair Cutting
• Hair Design
• Business and Marketing
• Basics in nails, skincare, and makeup
• and More!

Our program is broken into four distinct phases of instruction: Core Training, Experience, Create, and Salon Life. In each area, students can learn different aspects of cosmetology and new techniques. All of these lessons will allow students to have the necessary 1500 hours of training that’s required for licensed cosmetologists in the states of Kansas and Missouri.

At Crave Beauty Academy, we also offer a Barber Expansion Opportunity for licensed barbers to learn the additional skills to become a cosmetologist, but in a fraction of the time of a full program. While barbering and cosmetology skills overlap, they each have their respective areas. This course is designed to help give barbers more training so they can widen their opportunities. 

Esthetics

If you are passionate about skincare, esthetics is a great choice for you! Estheticians practice the art and science of skincare. At Crave Beauty Academy, our esthetics program offers comprehensive, professional training in a variety standard aspects of the esthetics industry. In this program, you can learn how to perform facial treatments, microdermabrasion, skin anatomy and so much more! We also provide training in certain business and marketing skills. 

Our esthetics program consists of two phases: core training and advanced techniques. Our Kansas location offers a 1000 hour course, and Missouri offers 750 hours, as per state regulations. Both programs include online learning and a customized blend of European techniques with American technologies.

Nail Technology

Nail technology can be a great way to express your creativity. Our Nail Technology program covers a variety of knowledge in nail care, artistry, and treatments. Our curriculum includes skills that can help you develop your personal style and enhance your future as a professional nail technician. These topics can include:

The Nail Technology program has both a core training phase and an advanced technique phase. This program is a 350-hour training program in Wichita, Kansas and a 400-hour program at the Ballwin, Missouri campus. Both programs include a customized blend of advanced techniques and technologies.

Cosmetology Instructing

Do you love all things beauty but also have a passion for teaching and helping others? Becoming a cosmetology instructor is a great way to do both! If you’re already a licensed cosmetologist, our Cosmetology Instructor Training is a perfect way to share your experience and develop your teaching skills with the latest Pivot Point training tools and Mindful teaching program.

Our curriculum can teach you classroom demonstrations, coaching and mentoring skills, school management, curriculum development, and more! Part-time and full-time schedules are available for our 300-hour teacher training program at our Kansas location. 

Student Salon

In each of our programs, we offer a *student salon for you to practice your skills on real world clients. Part of your training is to perform services on clients and learn how to market yourself and build your business. The student salon & spa is a critical area to thorough training as a future professional.
