Our instructor training program is a 300-hour program and is available to full-time and part-time students at our Wichita, KS campus. Applicants of the instructor training program are required to have a current cosmetologist, esthetician, or oncology license from Kansas.

Our training program teaches you the classroom management skills you will need to know, and it helps develop your student mentoring skills. A beauty education is typically a mix of classroom education and hands-on experience, so your instructor training will cover all the different types of teaching and coaching that you will be doing in the classroom and in student clinics. You will also be able to practice what you learn through student teaching opportunities.

How long does it take to complete the instructor training program?

Our instructor training program is 300 hours and can be completed through a full-time program or a part-time program. We strive to make it easy for you to get the training you need to achieve your beauty school teaching dreams.

How much does tuition cost for the instructor training program?

At Crave Beauty Academy we believe we provide an excellent value for the quality of education that you will receive. As an accredited school, we are able to offer financial aid to those who qualify as well as other payment options. Check with the admissions advisors or see our Financial Aid page to learn more about the cost of attending and ways to make your beauty education more affordable. Financial Aid is not avaliable for the Instructor Training Program.

What are the prerequisites for the instructor training program?

Applicants of the instructor training program are required to have a current Kansas cosmetologist, esthetician or oncology license. If you do not have your license, and you would like one, Crave Beauty Academy offers a full cosmetology, esthetics and nail technology programs that provides all the training hours you need to sit for the state board exam.

What career options are available to beauty school instructors?

Beauty school instructors can go on to teach classes at beauty schools in the state they were licensed in. However, not all graduates of an instructor training program go on to become beauty school instructors. It is possible to get a position in a professional salon or to work at a company that manufactures and/or distributes beauty products. Some graduates of the program may decide to focus on the business aspects of a beauty school instead of the teaching aspects. No matter what path you follow after graduation, we believe our education will help you advance in some way.
